The
Senior Application Support Engineer
provides advanced L3 support, leads complex incident resolution, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvements in application reliability and performance across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead L3 support for critical enterprise applications, managing complex incidents to minimize business impact.
  • Proactively monitor systems using Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, and other tools; implement preventive measures.
  • Optimize database performance and manage Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL environments.
  • Develop advanced automation scripts and oversee API testing with Postman.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and lead problem management initiatives in alignment with ITIL.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related discipline.
  • 4–6+ years of experience in application support, with proven expertise in troubleshooting and database management.
  • Advanced Linux skills and scripting proficiency (Shell, Python).
  • Deep experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, monitoring (Dynatrace, Elasticsearch), and API testing (Postman).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL and incident/problem management best practices.
