SENIOR 3D TECHNICAL ART DIRECTOR

5dVR

is immediately announcing the opening for a
Senior 3D Technical Art Director

. This critical leadership role requires a proven technical expert to define, manage, and optimize the artistic and technical pipelines for our high-fidelity Extended Reality (XR) solutions.

This Director will serve as the principal technical authority, ensuring that 5dVR's creative vision is delivered with uncompromising technical performance across all client projects.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience:
    5 years or above
    , with substantial, demonstrable experience in
    VR/AR
    and
    Extended Reality (XR)
    development.
  • Location:
    Maadi Corniche – Cairo – Egypt.
  • Education:
     Preference for a degree from an
    Art School
    or related creative technical discipline. Proven expertise and portfolio remain paramount.
  • Language Skills:
    Good command of English (Written and Reading) is mandatory.
  • Personal Skills:
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proven capacity to work effectively under project pressure, and strong team leadership skills.

Core Responsibilities

The Director's mandate is divided into three key areas of accountability:

  1. Real-Time Engine & Optimization Mastery

  2. Technical Authority:
    Establish the technical art standards across the studio, ensuring
    peak performance
    and visual fidelity for all real-time content.

  3. Engine Expertise:
    Direct the team's professional utilization of
    Unity
    and
    Unreal Engine
    , specializing in material pipelines, lighting, and rendering for high-fidelity VR simulations (e.g.,
    FST VR training
    and complex industrial models).

  4. Performance First:
    Institute and enforce advanced optimization techniques to guarantee seamless performance, from high-end
    VR
    hardware to scalable
    WebAR
    experiences.

  5. Cross-Platform Art Direction & Feasibility

  6. XR Art Architecture:
    Define the artistic and technical direction for 3D assets deployed across our entire Extended Reality spectrum (
    VR, AR, MR, and AI-powered solutions
    ).

  7. Pipeline Command:
    Oversee and standardize content creation pipelines, including the expert application of
    3D scanning
    and
    photogrammetry
    necessary for high-fidelity cultural heritage projects.

  8. Asset Versatility:
    Ensure all content is flexible and performant for diverse applications, including our
    AI Interact
    soft skills training platform and dedicated
    Metaverse
    environments.

  9. Creative Leadership & Team Mentorship

  10. Creative & Technical Vision:
    Translate the overall artistic vision into clear, executable technical specifications, overseeing all
    organic and non-organic 3D modeling
    and animation requirements.

  11. Inspiration & Management:
    Mentor, manage, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of 3D Artists, Technical Artists, and Animators, fostering a culture of technical innovation and professional delivery.
