Overview:

MRP planner

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) schedules to support production and customer orders.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and production plans to determine material requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Release and maintain work orders, ensuring material availability for production.
  • Monitor and update ERP/MRP system data, including lead times, safety stock levels, and BOM accuracy.
  • Track and report on material shortages, delays, and risks, communicating proactively with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply with demand.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing shortages, excess, and obsolete stock.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings and provide input on material availability and capacity constraints.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and shortage levels.
