Job Overview

We're seeking a proactive
Senior Lawyer
to provide end-to-end legal support for a large industrial operation in Egypt.
On-site presence is required at the Sokhna plant
with occasional business visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company before courts, authorities, and government bodies; coordinate filings, permits, and renewals.
  • Oversee corporate governance activities (board/GA documentation, powers of attorney, records management).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (services, supply, maintenance, EPC/O&M addenda) and advise on legal risks.
  • Support investigations, prepare legal opinions, and handle warnings/sanctions in line with company policy and labor law.
  • Monitor ongoing cases and regulatory changes; brief stakeholders with practical, business-oriented guidance.
  • Coach junior legal staff and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HSE, finance, HR, and procurement.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    5–7 years in corporate/commercial law, preferably within industrial, petrochemical, or manufacturing environments; strong mix of advisory and litigation/regulatory liaison.
  • Education:
    Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from a reputable university.
  • Expertise:
    Corporate governance, contract drafting/negotiation, litigation follow-up, regulatory filings, and permits.
  • Tools & Language:
    Solid MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
    English proficiency (B2+)
    and excellent Arabic.
  • Work setup:
    Comfortable working on-site at an industrial plant and partnering with shift-based operations.
