BIM Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage BIM models for infrastructure projects (roads, highways, railways, utilities, bridges).
- Prepare and maintain 3D/4D/5D BIM models using Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit, OpenRoads, or similar platforms.
- Coordinate BIM models across civil, structural, MEP, and GIS disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client requirements, and industry standards.
- Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or equivalent tools.
- Extract quantities, drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
- Support construction planning, sequencing (4D), and cost integration (5D).
- Integrate BIM data with GIS systems and survey data where required.
- Conduct model audits and quality control checks.
- Support asset information modeling (AIM) for handover and facility management.
- Provide technical BIM support to design and construction teams.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure BIM workflows and standards.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit, Navisworks (or Bentley OpenRoads, OpenRail).
- Understanding of civil engineering design principles and infrastructure construction methods.
- Experience with clash detection, model federation, and coordination.
- Ability to work with large datasets, point clouds, and survey information.
- Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 + years of experience in BIM for infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- BIM certification (Autodesk, Bentley, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Knowledge of GIS integration (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience working with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as ACC, ProjectWise.
