Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software developers, to identify opportunities for AI integration and to define project requirements.

Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from data acquisition and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning, and champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Ensure the robustness, scalability, and performance of our AI systems, conducting rigorous testing and optimisation.

Communicate complex technical concepts and project outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Proven commercial experience in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered AI/ML projects.

Expert proficiency in Python and extensive experience with major AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

A deep theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.

Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deploying machine learning models at scale.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
