Civil Design Engineer

This is a full-time on-site role for a Civil Engineer, based in Cairo, Egypt. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing civil engineering projects with a focus on stormwater management and infrastructure development. Daily tasks will include project planning, assessing construction feasibility, preparing detailed technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards. The role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to execute projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements and Responsibilities :

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in design.
  • Calculations & Reports: Assisting in the preparation of design calculations and technical reports.
  • Contractor Submittals: Supporting the review of contractor submissions and design requests.
  • Compliance: Assisting in monitoring compliance with design standards and building codes.
  • Coordination: Communicating with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure design objectives are maintained.
  • Change Management: Tracking design changes and assisting in the preparation of change orders or variance documentation.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Supporting quality assurance processes by verifying the accuracy and completeness of drawings and documentation.
  • Revisions: Reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback or changes.
  • Presentation Materials: Preparing materials for reports and presentations.
  • Site Visits: Visiting construction sites occasionally to gather data or verify design feasibility.
