Senior Welding Inspector

Your Tasks

• Supervision of quality control and quality assurance team.
• Supervision of quality control during examination and testing of welds in the fabrication/ construction of oil and gas related plant and equipment.
• Control of all aspects of welding and all NDT techniques during the fabrication/ construction of pipelines and/or offshore structures for oil and gas plants.
• Verification and approval, of procedure and qualifications of welders and welding operator.
• Experienced with major international standards of welding and weld quality and with current welding techniques and weld testing procedures as applied to the petroleum construction industry and capable of inventing, assessing and/or Identity any necessary repairs or corrections via visual inspection or NDT review.
• Monitor heat treatment and control procedures to verify proper heating method and temperature recording.
• Conduct final hydrostatic/pneumatic test procedures.
• Monitor and approve the repair procedures to be accomplished in accordance with approved repair procedures.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• B. Sc. of metallurgical engineering, mechanical engineering or Science college.
• Valid CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in oil and gas industry.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
