Job Summary:

The Design Head will lead and oversee all structural/architectural design activities for Madkour projects. The role ensures that all design deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements, supporting efficient and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Civil/Architecture Design Department, ensuring all design works comply with project requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Manage and coordinate design activities across multiple EPC projects.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design drawings, models, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and geotechnical teams to ensure seamless design integration.
  • Provide expert technical guidance, value engineering input, and constructability reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise and manage external design consultants and ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality deliverables.
  • Ensure all designs comply with Egyptian authority regulations and international design standards.
  • Support tendering and proposal teams with technical input, scope definition, and design estimates.
  • Oversee design quality assurance, document control, and compliance with EPC procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of civil and architectural engineers and designers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design and engineering within EPC or consultancy environments.
  • Proven experience leading civil and architectural design for

  • Strong command of design software, and related tools.
  • Deep understanding of EPC project workflows, design integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
