Position Overview

Responsible for design, development, configuration and testing of automation solutions, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other frameworks such as Power Automate. Develops and configures automation processes as per the technical requirements and specifications for the application. Identifies opportunities for improvement and/or automation of existing processes. Troubleshoots and resolves testing issues.

Positions on this level have comprehensive knowledge of the specific discipline or the broader area in which the position operates. Executes specialized projects and activities and typically works according to set principles. Usually generates and initiates own workload and doesn't need instructions or guidelines. Might supervise work of less experienced professionals providing professional expertise and taking responsibility for the end-product.

• Develops and configures automation applications independently with minimal supervision, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency.
• Manages troubleshooting and testing for specific projects, ensuring issues are resolved within defined timelines.
• Identifies automation opportunities within specific areas and implements improvements with operational autonomy.
• Mentors' junior developers and shares technical expertise to improve team capabilities
• Follows established best practices and ensures compliance within assigned projects.
• Works with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure the successful delivery of automation solutions.
• Contributes to process improvements by suggesting new tools and methodologies for automation projects.
• Manages specific tasks within an automation project, ensuring completion on time and within scope.
• Oversees the implementation of automation solutions and monitors performance against established benchmarks.
• Ensures the quality of deliverables by testing and validating solutions against predefined criteria.
• Ensures compliance within the scope of individual projects, implementing and monitoring adherence to policies.
• Shares knowledge and best practices within the team, ensuring continuous learning and improvement.
• Be a true team member in Teleperformance Portugal – focused on the success of the company.
• Be an active part in the process of continuous improvement, proposing improvement and innovation methods across the department and the company.
• Ensure all Teleperformance processes, procedures and policies are fulfilled, including butnot limited to GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation, GISP - Global Information Security Policies, ISS - Information Security Standard; CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility policies, Health & Safety, among others.
• Communicate to the leadership any known infractions of these Corporate Policies and procedures immediately.

Decision Making Authority

Decisions Expected:

Makes decisions related to the design, development, and configuration of automation applications.

Handles troubleshooting and testing decisions, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.

Reports to Automation Manager any situation that may impact the Project and/or the Organization.

Recommendations Expected:

Recommends process improvements and tool optimizations for specific projects.

Suggests enhancements in testing, debugging, and performance tuning based on experience and project outcomes.

Main Job Requirements

Education and specific Training

• Higher Education Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent experience may be considered for junior roles.
• Strong programming and automation framework knowledge are essential.

Work Experience

• 2 Years Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation systems, along with proficiency in CI/CD tools and cloud platforms, is needed

Special Certifications

Relevant certifications for this role include ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Power Platform certifications, UiPath RPA Developer Advanced Certification, and AWS Certified Developer – Associate, demonstrating expertise in automation frameworks, RPA tools, and cloud platforms.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C#, and scripting with Bash or PowerShell.

Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete.

Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL, and API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
