Tender Engineer – Construction Sector

Location:

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:

The Tender Engineer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting technical and commercial proposals for construction projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, technical specifications, and company policies. The role involves close coordination with different departments to develop competitive and accurate tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Review and analyze tender documents (RFPs, drawings, BOQs, and specifications) to fully understand project scope and requirements.


• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client and project needs.


• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and finance teams to gather the necessary data for tender preparation.


• Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing based on material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotations.


• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to collect project information.


• Ensure that all tenders are submitted on time and comply with the company's quality and accuracy standards.


• Support the Tender Manager in identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and competitive strategies.


• Maintain accurate records of tender documentation and correspondence.


• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain updated quotations and technical offers.


• Follow up on tender results and analyze feedback to improve future submissions.

Qualifications & Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in tendering or estimation within the construction or infrastructure sector in Saudi Arabia.


• Strong understanding of Saudi tendering procedures and Etimad platform (for government tenders).


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and estimating software.


• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera, or cost estimation tools is an advantage.


• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.


• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
