Are you a vigilant, detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring seamless system operation? We're looking for a dedicated
NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineer
to join our team and serve as the
first line of defense
for our critical infrastructure, network, and applications. This role is essential for maintaining high availability and rapid incident response across our services.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Monitoring:
    Actively monitor NOC dashboards, display walls, and alerting systems for anomalies or incidents related to
    Infrastructure, Networks, and Applications
    throughout the day and night.
  • Workflow Alignment:
    Develop a strong understanding of
    application workflows and business logic
    to accurately interpret alerts, assess service impact, and prioritize incidents effectively.
  • Onsite Engineer Oversight:
    Track the status and progress of
    onsite field engineers
    throughout their shifts to ensure timely and effective resolution of physical/local issues.
  • Incident Management (Initial Phase):
  • Upon detection of an incident or critical alert, perform initial triage and verification.
  • Open, log, and accurately categorize a support ticket
    with all relevant details (time, symptoms, impact).
  • Rapidly contact and engage the 1st level technical support team
    and the designated
    technical owner
    (or Subject Matter Expert) for handover and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Communication:
    Maintain clear, concise, and timely communication regarding incidents with relevant internal teams following defined escalation procedures.

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience:
    Proven experience (e.g., 1-3 years) in a Network Operations Center, IT Operations, or a similar monitoring/support role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of
    network concepts
    (e.g., TCP/IP, basic routing/switching).
  • Experience with
    ticket/incident management systems
    (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Soft Skills:
  • High vigilance and attention to detail
    for identifying subtle anomalies.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving and triage skills
    under pressure.
  • Ability to work
    shifts
    (day, night, weekends) as the NOC is a 24/7/365 operation.
  • Strong
    written and verbal communication skills
