The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for preparing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Egyptian accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies. The role involves supervising the accounting team, preparing financial reports, managing month-end closings, and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with 
    Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)
     , ( 
    IFRS )
     and 
    tax regulations
    .
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgets to ensure financial stability.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, etc.) in accordance with 
    Egyptian Tax Authority
     requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support management in financial analysis and reporting for decision-making.
  • Train and mentor junior accountants to ensure accuracy and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
     is a plus.
  • Minimum 
    6–10 years of accounting experience
    , including at least 
    2 years in a supervisory or senior role
    .
  • Strong knowledge of 
    Egyptian accounting standards, local tax laws, and regulatory compliance
    .
  • Proficiency in 
    ERP systems
     (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and 
    MS Excel
    .
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good command of 
    English and Arabic
     (written and spoken).

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, based in Egypt.
  • Typical office hours (Sunday–Thursday).
  • May require occasional overtime during closing or audit periods.
