Job Purpose

The Compensation & Benefits Section Head will lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with company policies and labor regulations. The role ensures that reward strategies support business goals and drive employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the company's compensation structure, grading system, and salary scales.
  • Conduct job evaluations, salary benchmarking, and market analysis to ensure competitiveness.
  • Lead the annual salary review cycle, promotions process, and performance-based reward programs.
  • Prepare compensation analytics and dashboards to support HR and leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with pay policies, internal equity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and optimize employee benefits programs, including health insurance, allowances, incentive plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Evaluate vendor agreements and negotiate contracts with insurance and benefits providers.
  • Monitor utilization and cost-effectiveness of benefits offerings, recommending improvements.
  • Develop, update, and implement compensation & benefits policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all programs are compliant with labor laws and company standards.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation and reports.
  • Maintain accurate compensation and benefits data in HR systems.
  • Partner with HRIS team to automate reward-related processes and improve reporting.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and Department Heads to support workforce planning.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR staff and managers on compensation and benefits topics.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits; at least 3 years in a supervisory or specialist role.
  • Experience in the
    distribution, FMCG, logistics, or similar industries
    is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, salary structure design, and benchmarking tools.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
