Job Summary

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for combining strong technical engineering knowledge with sales skills to promote, specify, and sell Speed Fix's mechanical support systems and fixation solutions.

This role includes reviewing drawings, preparing offers, sizing support systems, conducting site visits, providing technical presentations, and supporting customers throughout the sales and installation process.

Key Responsibilities – Sales & Client Relations

  • Identify new opportunities with contractors, consultants, and MEP companies.
  • Promote Speed Fix products and solutions to new and existing clients.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
  • Follow up on offers and negotiate terms to close sales deals.
  • Build long-term relationships with key clients and project stakeholders.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Select and size pipe supports, clamps, channels, hangers, and fixation systems.
  • Prepare technical submittals and compliance sheets.
  • Provide design recommendations for mechanical support layouts.
  • Deliver technical presentations to customers when required.

Costing & Commercial Support

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing sheets.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations when needed.
  • Ensure profitability while maintaining competitive market pricing.
  • Support in contract review and final negotiations.

Site & After-Sales Support

  • Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and technical support.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure correct material supply.
  • Solve technical issues related to installation or product application.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction during and after project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in MEP, HVAC, mechanical supports, or technical sales.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical support systems, pipe clamps, channels, hangers, and MEP applications (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience in reading drawings and understanding mechanical systems.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding and engineering mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD (basic).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
