Role: System Administrator

Department: IT & Systems

Location: Kunouz Head Office – 6th of October City, Giza, Egypt

Reports to: IT Manager / Managing Director

Role Purpose:

The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing Kunouz's IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and securely to support business operations. The role covers servers, networks, ERP systems, user management, and cybersecurity across all company branches and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server & Network Management:
  • Administer and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, and routers to ensure reliable connectivity and performance.
  • Monitor system health and security, performing regular updates, backups, and disaster recovery tests.
  • User & Access Control:
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and roles across all systems, including ERP and cloud platforms.
  • Ensure secure authentication and adherence to company data policies.
  • ERP & Business Systems Support:
  • Provide technical support for Kunouz's ERPNext (or other ERP) system, including user onboarding, troubleshooting, and integration with other tools.
  • Coordinate with departments to improve workflows and ensure smooth system operations.
  • Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
  • Implement and maintain security measures, antivirus solutions, and encryption policies.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access, malware, and potential data breaches.
  • Hardware & Software Management:
  • Oversee procurement, setup, and maintenance of IT equipment and licensed software.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing and asset management standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed system documentation, network diagrams, and change logs.
  • Generate periodic performance and incident reports for management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in system or network administration, preferably within real estate, construction, or project-based industries.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (ERPNext preferred), Windows/Linux servers, firewalls, and cloud environments (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience with virtualization, data backup tools, and remote monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and access management principles.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • High sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.

Working Conditions:

  • Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
  • Day Off: Friday
  • Work Location: Kunouz Head Office, October Gardens
