Portfolio Manager

Portfolio Manager will oversee the management and optimization of the company's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maximizing returns within defined risk parameters. This role involves analyzing investment opportunities, monitoring market trends, and implementing strategies to enhance portfolio performance.

Portfolio Management:

• Develop and implement strategies to manage the company's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making adjustments to optimize returns and manage risk.
• Maintain a balanced and diversified portfolio by assessing the suitability of assets and adjusting allocations as needed.

Investment Analysis & Decision Making:

• Conduct thorough analysis of investment opportunities, including equities, bonds, real estate, private equity, and other asset classes.
• Perform due diligence on prospective investments, including financial modeling, market research, and risk assessments.
• Provide detailed investment recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.

Market Monitoring & Research:

• Stay updated on global economic trends, financial markets, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Analyze macroeconomic indicators and sector trends to support informed decision-making.
• Develop insights and forecasts on market conditions and their potential impact on the portfolio.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare comprehensive reports on portfolio performance, including returns, risks, and key activities, for senior management and stakeholders.
• Document investment decisions, rationales, and expected outcomes for record-keeping and review purposes.
• Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance tracking systems.

Investment Management:

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the company's investment portfolio.
• Provide insights into market trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize returns.
• Assess potential investment opportunities through financial modeling and risk analysis.

Strategic Contribution:

• Support the Managing Director in developing long-term investment strategies.
• Evaluate the portfolio's alignment with the company's strategic goals and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Provide insights and input into the development of investment policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies.
• Liaise with external fund managers, analysts, brokers, and other financial service providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential investment partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) are highly desirable.

Experience:

Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in portfolio management, asset management, or investment analysis.

• Advanced knowledge of financial instruments, investment strategies, and portfolio theory.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent decision-making and risk management capabilities.
• Proficiency in investment analysis tools and software, such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
