Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo for an External Audit Team Leader. The External Audit Team Leader will oversee and execute external audit engagements for clients, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include leading audit planning, supervising team members, preparing audit reports, and presenting findings to clients. The role involves identifying process improvements, ensuring the quality of deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships while mentoring junior team members to develop their auditing expertise.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to guide and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Expertise in external auditing, financial reporting, and compliance with professional standards.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities for client-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with advanced audit tools, techniques, and software.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred, with a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.
  • Experience with the auditing landscape in Egypt or the GCC region is an advantage.
