Senior Communications Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Communication Strategy & Planning


• Develop and implement integrated communication strategies aligned with DCarbon's vision, projects, and brand guidelines.


• Support in positioning DCarbon as a global leader in sustainability consulting, capacity building, and knowledge transfer.

Content Development & Management


• Draft, edit, and oversee high-quality content for sustainability reports, press releases, speeches, thought leadership articles, newsletters, and digital channels.


• Coordinate content calendars to ensure timely publication of campaigns, reports, and announcements.

Media & Stakeholder Relations


• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry associations, and stakeholders across the EMEA and GCC regions.


• Manage media outreach, press events, and ensure consistent coverage that reinforces DCarbon's leadership role.

Social Media & Digital Communications


• Lead the strategy and execution of DCarbon's social media platforms and digital presence.


• Track analytics and audience engagement to optimize communication impact and visibility.

Brand Management


• Uphold DCarbon's brand guidelines in all internal and external communications.

Crisis & Sensitive Communication


• Support in managing crisis communications, ensuring professional, timely, and sensitive responses to reputational challenges.


• Anticipate potential communication risks and advise leadership on proactive strategies.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred).


• 4 – 6 years of proven experience in communications, preferably within sustainability, consultancy, or corporate environments.


• Strong expertise in sustainability/ESG communication and stakeholder engagement.


• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English (Arabic/French is a plus).


• Experience in managing media relations and executing digital/social media campaigns.


• Strong leadership and project management skills with experience supervising teams.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
