5G Software Engineering Manager

From applied research to advanced engineering, Dell’s 5G SW engineering team is designing and developing a ground-breaking product. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. Your contributions will drive product architecture and implementation in support of building something from the ground up, all while working with colleagues across the globe to ensure Dell products always lead the way.

What you’ll achieve:
As a 5G Software Engineering Manager, you will oversee the architecture, design, and delivery ofa new 5G product while leading and growing a world-class team focusing on the Transport & Platform layers and interfacing with all 5G RAN & Core components.

You Will:

- Lead a global agile software engineering team focused on the design, architecture and implementation of Transport layers.
- Ensure team meets project requirements for schedule and quality.
- Hire a diverse and effective workforce.
- Participate in long-range planning and development of operational goals and engineering specifications.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex problems and communicate progress toward project/program goals.

Essential Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience leading a distributed team of software developers, managing development schedules, and driving interlock meetings along with presenting program status to key stakeholders.
- Extensive software development experience in C/C++ and excellent knowledge of Object-oriented programming and Data Structures.
- Strong Networking background (IPv4/6, DHCP, SNMP, PTP, ICMP, etc.), and a demonstrated knowledge of Networking Stacks/Subsystem in Linux/other Operating Systems.
- Strong Network Security background, IPsec, TLS, VPNs, etc.
- Deep knowledge of Agile software development practices, Agile program management and product offering lifecycle methodologies.

Desirable Requirements:

- Good understanding of 5G technologies and ORAN
- Understands the Fronthaul/Backhaul/Midhaul concepts in wireless communications.
