The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including safety, material planning, reporting, manufacturing methods and procedures, quality control, supply management, information analysis, and plant maintenance. This critical role also involves managing new projects and ensuring adherence to Sika Principles and code of conduct.
- Strictly adhere to and enforce Sika Principles, code of conduct, safety protocols, and 5 Spirit fulfillment throughout the plant.
- Assume full accountability for production output, product quality, and timely shipping to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Strategically plan, organize, direct, and manage day-to-day operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Implement measures to increase production capacity and operational flexibility while simultaneously minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining stringent quality standards.
- Conduct thorough analyses of system functioning and performance results to identify operational issues. This includes investigating complaints, evaluating suggestions, and interviewing process supervisors and operators to complete comprehensive troubleshooting procedures.
- Establish and prioritize operational objectives based on rigorous assessment of current processes and future needs.
- Continuously improve operational quality by conducting in-depth studies, evaluating current practices, and recommending process redesigns. Implement necessary changes and contribute critical information to unit design and modification teams.
- Maintain unwavering commitment to worker health and safety by immediately suspending any activities that pose potential threats. Coordinate and oversee "Right-To-Know" programs regarding hazardous chemicals and substances, and regularly update emergency response plans to ensure maximum preparedness.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical
- 15-20 years of experience in manufacturing plants, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record in operations management, including safety, material planning, and quality control
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and quality assurance processes
- Experience with supply chain management and inventory control
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in analyzing data and generating comprehensive reports
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
