**Accountant**

**DeLaval Egypt**is looking for an experienced and dedicated **Accountant** to maintain and interpret all company financial records.

The Accountant will assist with a variety of financial tasks crucial to the success of our business, including invoicing and collecting accounts receivable, performing monthly reconciliation of accounts, and supporting tax reporting activities. The Accountant will also be responsible for daily operations of our finance department, together with our Senior Accountant.

**Responsibilities**
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Handle & maintain petty cash, collections and disbursements
- Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
- Assist with data entry in AR and AP daily
- Assist with month-end financial reports
- Post journal entries
- Assist with audits
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with managing tracking of physical inventory
- Preparing Purchase orders at ERP system related with inventory
- Entering goods receipts with supplier invoices by allocating the costs in direct cost centres
- Defining new items for inventory when necessary
- Local customer screening, recording new customer data entry and filing

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree of accounting, business and management or similar
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
- Two or more years of experience in an accounting role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Have a fluent knowledge of the English language
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
- Ability to perform multi tasks & meet deadlines
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Experience with accounting software and data entry
