**Role Purpose**:
The role of the Compliance Manager will provide operations leadership and a self-audit of the various businesses across Leisure, Entertainment & Cinemas. This role will also be responsible for independently monitoring LEC’s compliance with operational systems, processes and policies & procedures in support of for efficient reporting, information flow and management, business process, and organizational planning.

**Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
**Strategy, Planning & Support**:

- Formulates a plan for an annual compliance review of areas of interest to management and perform compliance tests and reviews according to that plan.
- Conducts compliance risk assessment training workshops.
- Ensure performance of Operational Risk Assessment in collaboration with Risk Director and relevant Stakeholders
- Prepares and conform to standard checklists for various types of operations and back office processes and integrate it as part of the compliance review checks
- Develops, maintains, and monitor compliance with Inter Company policies, procedures and SLAs
- Identifies and implements business process enhancements to facilitate effective and efficient operations.
- Advises internal management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs.
- Ensure smooth interfaces between division programs and departments, including HR, Finance, IT and Operations.
- Prepares process improvement observations and note defaults in compliance from the various reviews carried out and provide timely updates to Finance Director and Operations / General Manager of each business.
- Be the main contact point and a central coordinator for the resolution of control risks and implementation of process improvement observations, identified by internal audit, external audit or any senior management across MAF LEC.
- Follows up on compliance issues that require investigation with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with all reporting deadlines
- Develop an Annual Compliance Plan incorporating CSAs, Audit, Adhoc reviews, regulatory requirements, group-wide Compliance agenda, etc. covering functions and assets where significant Operational risks have been identified
- Coordinates with the central legal team to ensure legal and statutory compliance is being maintained at all times.
- Reviews financial performance of operating assets with a view to maximize asset utilization and yield with the heads of each unit.
- Assists Finance Director in preparation of budget, financial simulations, analysis and presentation.
- Achieve Satisfactory rating on audit of Compliance function (whether performed by Internal or External Auditors)
- Keep abreast with regulations or regulatory requirements and maintain Regulatory inventory
- Ensure that Ethics cases are timely and properly investigated with action plan agreed with stakeholders, to address issues including control weaknesses
- Support Group-wide Compliance Agenda such as Data Loss / Leak Prevention, Data Privacy, Money Laundering, etc.
- Drive professional development for self through adequate trainings / certifications, timely feedback, engagement with stakeholders, etc.

**Definition of Success:
- Establish loss prevention dashboard & total loss visibility to top management
- Year on year improvement & reduction in the total loss.
- Year on year improvement on CSA scores.
- Policy holder & process improvement.

**Other Context (if applicable)**:

- Site visits required across the region.
- Performs any additional adhoc duties as and when required by the Line Manager and/or Head of Department.

**Functional/Technical Competencies**
- Strong understanding of ISO requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of local laws and regulations.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and
- Able to interpret audit and compliance requirements for various department.
