**_ Context:_**

Under the overall supervision of the Regional Director (RD) for the Middle East and North Africa
(MENA) region and the direct supervision of the Regional Crisis Response Coordinator (RCRC)
for the MENA region, and in close coordination with the Country Office’s (CO) information
management and reporting focal points, the Regional Information Management Officer will be
responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of information management
tools and processes for ensuring International Organization for Migration (IOM) compliance, and
reporting to donors and partners (inter-agency) throughout the crisis context.

**_ Core Functions / Responsibilities:_**

1. Provide technical support for the iterative design and implementation of a holistic information

management (IM) strategy, including key indicators and the streamlining of reporting
mechanisms.

2. Closely coordinate with focal points from different technical units and divisions engaged in the
crisis response, both in the field and in Headquarters (HQ), to iteratively review information
needs, IM tools, and gaps.

3. Support IM focal points at country level, including potentially through deployment, as they
develop, revise, and implement IM tools.

4. Support development of and reporting against key indicators for the response, in line with
inter-agency reporting requirements related to appeals, donor reporting requirements, and
IOM’s Strategic Results Framework.

5. Check that IM tools and reporting templates at country-level incorporate gender and age
disaggregation of data and reporting on more vulnerable groups and support the mainstreaming
of protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

6. Review and analyse country updates, Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) reports, and liaise
with country missions to collect and systematically review best practices. Provide summaries,
key highlights, and reports that contribute towards planning as well as impact analysis.

7. Check that adequate monitoring mechanisms are in place at both global and the country level
to review impact and collect lessons learned. Support country offices to enforce data
confidentiality guidelines adopted by IOM, to protect sensitive data.

8. In liaison with relevant focal points, provide technical support for the development of data
visualization and other information products in support of the crisis coordination cell,
country-level operations, and technical divisions at RO involved in the emergency response,
geared toward both internal and external audiences.

9. Provide technical and process related support for the development and maintenance of a
information management and data hub on crisis management in MENA.

10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

**_ Required Qualifications and Experience:_**

**Education**:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field from an accredited
academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant.

**Experience**:

- Two years of relevant professional experience (or four years for those holding a first level
university degree) using two or more of the following tools: Access, Structured Query Language
(SQL), PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, or ArcGIS suite;
- Experience in the implementation of database systems (such as registrations, activity data,

census or surveys), including cleaning and analysis of data;
- Experience in planning and delivering end-user training, undertaking information systems

support, and coordination with stakeholders with different levels of technical knowledge and
abilities;
- Confirmed experience in donor report writing in humanitarian and/or development settings;
- Experience with Results Based
