Import and Export Specialist

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
Organizes and oversees import and export of international shipments, starting from selecting and awarding the freight forwarder, shipments booking, reviewing documentation, tracking, following on customs clearance until shipment is delivered to the site.
**1. Zero Demurrage & Storage fees**
- Responsible for the freight forwarders to avoid any storage or demurrage fees.
- Claim any supplier or Freight forwarder with penalties for any lack of performance or delay.

**2.Coordinate the import/export**
- Responsible for making sure that the supplier sends all the needed shipment’s documents and that all the relevant data are correct. All documents should be revised and corrected (if needed) before the supplier proceeds with the documents submission.
- Arrange the transport and shipping of all overseas orders of both DG and Non DG products.
- Handle the import process: provide products clarification to Customs Dept., handle import permits of dangerous cargo, deal with Finance Dept. for import duty payment, follow up the shipping agent to refund bank guarantee or guarantee deposit for re-export shipment, provide the lifting specification to shipping agent.
- Coordinate with users for all process handling of Free zone project shipments.
- Coordinate with operation for all import / export issues i.e. cost calculation, etc.
- Documents control for customs post audit.
- Responsible for logistics coordination for any new project.

**3.Billing & Invoices control**
- Check and handle the billing documents from freight forwarders, related suppliers and customs receipt submitted in the system.
- Ensure all the invoices are received within 5-10 days from the date of service from all the freight forwarders.
- Billing process from freight forwarders, courier companies, customs clearance agents etc through finance and shared service’s system.

**4.Coordinate with government sectors**
- Fully in charge of whole process to obtain the import/export license of dangerous goods from the following departments;
- Department of Industrial Works (DIW)
- Defense Industry Department (DID)
- Department of Energy Business (DOEB)
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- Bureau of Weights and Measures

**5.Reporting**
- Perform period activity meetings with RSB team & internal customer
- Report savings performed and Service Levels achieved.
- Keep requesters informed continually on lead time and delivery time

**6. Stakeholder Management**
- Act as help desk for requesters to answer all their questions related to Supply chain and logistics

**7. Negotiation for EXW Shipments **.
- Make sure to get the best rate and follow DOA.
- Achieving avoided cost.
- at least getting two offers.

**8. Delivery tracker module.**
- make sure the shipment readiness date is reflected on time/
- Ensure the new promised date for the delayed suppliers is modified on time.
- Identify the root cause for POs with missing GRFs.

**9. Insurance for all foreign shipments**
- Managing with the freight forwarder that all the shipments are covered by insurance.
- Handling any case has damage, loss etc with the freight forwarder and insurance company.
