**Role Overview**

The Head of Healthcare Management (HCM) will ensure the development of a robust provider network in collaboration with Service Partners in line with Bupa Global’s strategy to deliver our customer propositions and optimise the management of benefits expenditure through the effective management of TPAs in region and deployment of provider strategies and plans.

Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to building Bupa Global Business Unit’s HCM strategy
- Implement regional annual plan in alignment of the strategic direction
- Adapt and implement initiatives to contain medical inflation drivers regionally.
- Utilise TPAs in Region to Support provider network reform and expansion and ensure effective cost containment
- Ensure TPA agreements are fit for purpose and in line with the wider HCM strategy
- Support regional negotiation and commercial strategy for providers and TPAs.
- Establish the be best operating model with our service partners in each market.
- Manage regional TPA relations within contractual terms
- Maintain provider recognition procedures and database, including recognition approvals and de-registration.
- Optimise regional benefits spend, and control of claims ratio.
- Secure best practice in clinical standards and outcomes.
- Define and control Reasonable & Customary schedule of defined benefits.
- Support fraud and investigations policy and practice.
- Ensure all Bupa governance controls are embedded, monitored and actioned
- Ensure appropriate management of the region team and supporting sustainable eNPS performance.
- Ensure Bupa Global Service partners follow Bupa's clinical governance enterprise policy guidelines.
- Strong commercial knowledge of the international health insurance industry; particular knowledge of healthcare systems in the Europe region.
- Strong knowledge of regional hospital industry, pricing and quality dynamics.
- Excellent commercial negotiation skills and ability to deal with Health Care services operators at executive level.
- Experience of working in a global team
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results in a similar environment
- Evidence of building talented high performing teams and getting the best out of highly talented people.
