Requirements and responsibilities

**SUMMARY**

The Quality Analyst Iuses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, training and/or certification to manage the testing process as part of an Agile team which may include one or more of following types of testing: Unit, Integration, Functional, System, Regression, Performance, Compatibility, and User Acceptance.

The Quality Analyst will be responsible for liaising with all areas of the Datex Business and ensuring that we produce consistent user interfaces for our users, the features work per project requirements, and producing overall ease of use.

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Assist with the creation of new testing scripts and plans

Executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards.

Analyze business and technical requirement documents to create test cases and scenarios

Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows.

Conducting and testing cases for functional requirements

Perform root cause analysis for problem solving in test environment

Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes.

Documents testing according to required procedures.

Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.

**PREFERRED SKILLS**

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong ability to work with a team and familiarity with Agile Methodology

Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously

Problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet reasonable deadlines

Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies

Isolates, reproduces, tracks defects, and verifies fixes

Ability to use a defect tracking tool

Ability to create or modify intermediate SQL queries in relational databases

Willingness to develop professionally

Self-motivated when performing repetitive tasks

Ability to learn new things without formal training

Ability to work with little supervision

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; related work experience may be substituted for educational requirement
