- Shift and 'on-call' work may be required, particularly where manufacturing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation.
- Understand the risks associated with equipment obsolescence and take action to mitigate the unacceptable risks
- Make sure that asset care performance measures are up to date and accurately reflect the performance of the assets and the effectiveness of the maintenance processes
- Understand the SHE & GxP compliance status of the assets and take action to manage any risks. This will involve appointed or delegated Duty Holder accountability for engineering topics, and a healthy verification / audit program.
- Oversees and monitors the performance of inspections for facilities maintenance (PWS, HVAC system, Chillers ,Compressed air, Electrical power supply (HV - MV - LV), city water, sewage, WWTP and any other facilities
- Ability of and demonstrate effective RCA
- As directed by the Projects and Engineering leader do job tasks that are not listed above but I have the skills and competency to perform in a safe manner.
- Interact directly with projects and engineering leader to achieve timely and successful completion of projects and system start up.
- Assists in development of Capital Improvement Program projects.
- May provide engineering and technical services to support the construction and the installation.
- Works with the Projects and engineering leader to establish and implement well-defined emergency and contingency plans and procedures.
- Carry out periodic skills reviews of those in the department and assess these against the department’s flexibility skills matrix requirements.
- Make sure that asset care processes within the plant are adhered to and reflect current best practice
- Undertake Continuous Improvement activities (such as equipment upgrade / replacement / optimization) to drive asset performance, and act as responsible person for the associated change controls.
- Set up and operate an approved permit to work system
- Provide oversight and evaluation of contractor's work and verify work performed and billing for payment of work performed.
- Assist the Finance Department, as necessary and/or required, in the coordination of water, Electricity and gas meter reading billing, rate evaluation.
