**Job Context**:Working as an IT Manager to oversee the IT department and ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This individual will manage IT staff, oversee technical projects, and ensure the effective delivery of IT services.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead the IT department's operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
- Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
- Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:
**We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 to 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience with or proper knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
