About the Department

The Departments of Biology and Psychology at the American University in Cairo seek an accomplished scholar and educator to join our faculty as an associate professor in biological psychology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biopsychology and a demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor students.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to our interdisciplinary research environment and participate in departmental service activities. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses, develop curriculum, supervise graduate students, and engage in collaborative research initiatives.

A four-year initial appointment is offered, renewable based on performance. Experience in the north American higher education system is beneficial but not required.
