The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, is committed to leveraging private sector solutions to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity. As part of our mission, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Gender and Inclusion Officer to join our team in the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa region.

About the Role

This role plays a critical part in advancing gender equality and economic inclusion within IFC's operations. The successful candidate will work closely with regional leadership and industry teams to embed gender and economic inclusion into regional strategies and programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation of IFC's MCT Regional Gender Strategy Implementation Plan (GSIP)
  • Collaborating with regional partnerships teams to strengthen partnerships and support fundraising initiatives
  • Providing guidance and quality assurance to regional industry gender teams and portfolio officers on implementing the Gender Flag
  • Coordinating quarterly meetings with industry gender anchors to foster collaboration and build a community of gender leaders

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of experience in a related field, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have a strong understanding of key concepts around gender and private sector development, as well as familiarity with IFC's work.
