**Job Vacancy: Naval Architect - GMCG Egypt**

**Location**: 26 (B) Fawzy Moaz St., Mefco Helwan Building, Smouha, Alexandria, Egypt

**Global Maritime Consultants Group (GMCG)** is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Naval Architect to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in ship design and naval architecture, looking to contribute to and grow within a leading maritime consultancy firm.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Engage actively in ship design and consultancy work.
- Create detailed plans and drawings for vessel or structure proposals using CAD software or other advanced design tools.
- Ensure designs are economical, functional, safe, and seaworthy.
- Conduct strength and structural calculations and assessments.
- Manage material procurement and oversee the construction, launching, and trial phases.
- Perform stability and hydrodynamics analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines and manage project resources to meet budgets and deadlines.
- Uphold international safety and quality standards in all work.
- Specialize in one or more areas, such as research, design, construction, repair, or consultancy.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Technology, or Marine Design from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Naval Architecture/Ship Design.
- Experience in a shipyard/design office is desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong foundation in engineering design.
- Logical problem-solving approach and excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other engineering professionals.
- Capability to provide clear professional advice and technical support to customers.
- Strong leadership, managerial, and computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills for effective project management.
- Knowledge of legal issues and regulations, particularly in safety.
- Medically fit to work in both onshore and offshore facilities.
