Job Summary:
As a Pastry Chef at Savoy Sharm Group, you will be responsible for creating and executing delectable desserts and pastries for our various restaurants, banquets, and events. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while working with a team of talented culinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of desserts and pastries for all outlets, including plated desserts, cakes, tarts, and more.
- Develop new and innovative dessert menu items that align with our brand and appeal to our guests.
- Ensure that all desserts and pastries are prepared and presented to the highest standards, with attention to taste, quality, and appearance.
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Train and supervise pastry cooks to ensure consistency and quality in all dessert and pastry items.
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to create cohesive menus and ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, and incorporate them into our pastry offerings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating exceptional desserts and pastries.
