**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**

As a Professional Services Telco Cloud Senior Consultant, you work closely with Telco Customers on large scale datacenters, Network Function Virtualization and Cloud Native projects based on VMware Telco Cloud technology. You produce best of breed technical designs incorporating VMware and relating products to fulfill Customer requirements. You take technical leadership in the installation and configuration of VMware products with a key focus on integrating and automating the Telco and IT landscape.
- As a Senior Consultant you will be responsible for leading workshops and consulting engagements to critical VMware customers
- You will conduct pre-packaged VMware consulting solutions in a timely and effective manner
- You will take ownership of business outcomes of Telco Cloud projects through requirements capture guidance and orchestration of development resource and technical governance
- You will work with third parties (network function vendors, system integrators and other relevant stakeholders), supporting them in the use of VMware Telco Cloud suite
- You will advise and consult internal groups by providing accurate effort estimations
- You actively drive practice activities such as development of standard methodologies, intellectual property capture and creation, quality assurance, and peer reviews
- You maintain current knowledge of the entire VMware Telco Cloud product stack
- To effectively build solutions to solve for complex business problems it will be important to build a strong network among your peers and internal & external teams and massively contribute in geo-aligned technical forums and lead technical enablement communities.

**What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**
- Maintain current, high-level technical knowledge of the entire VMware product portfolio and future product direction and expert level knowledge of the TELCO product lines, which include NSX, advance load balancer, vRNI, HCX and SDWAN.
- Assist in the development of our service offerings as well as developing accelerator content, best practices, and white papers.
- working with leading edge technology and being an intrinsic part of a fantastic team
- Designing, solutioning, customizing and delivering end-to-end VMware Cloud platform solutions (vCD, vCloud NFV) for Telco/CSP customers
- Hands-on experience in Cloud Networking (NSX-T, AVI ALB), L2/L3 networking protocols, Calico, MetalLB and LoadBalancer concepts
- Creating document like HLD / LLD
- Working with HTTP(S), TCP/IP, REST API and other Internet protocols
- Work with Software Defined Storage like VMware vSAN
- Hands-on in YAML, Ansible and Linux commands
- understanding of the Cloud Native Security principles
- Datacenter Design & Networking Topology
- Experience with 5G Service Based Architecture
- Knowledge and experience with MANO based solutions ( e.g. ECOMP/ONAP, Nokia, Open MANO, Blue Planet)
- Knowledge with NFV SDN Standard Architecture, and ETSI standard interfaces: SOL001, SOL003, SOL004
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud Native Computing / Kubernetes K8S, Containers as Service, K*8 design and deployment
- Onboarding & Deployment experience with VNF/CNF, and the onboarding artifacts TOSCA, CSAR, and Helm Charts
- Experience with Open Sources related to Telco, OPNFV, ONAP, CICD GIT, TOSCA, and Helm Charts
- Modeling languages TOSCA, YAML
- Experience with CNF/VNF from multiple NF providers (Nokia, Eriksson, Oracle, Mavenir)
