Comunicar al jefe de cocina si se necesita ayuda durante los períodos en los que hay más trabajo a fin de garantizar un servicio óptimo. Notificar al gerente en caso de que exista algún producto que no cumpla con las especificaciones. Comprobar y asegurarse de que la temperatura de los electrodomésticos y los alimentos sea la correcta. Vigilar la cantidad de la comida que se prepara y de las porciones que se sirven. Asegurarse de que el tamaño de las porciones, la disposición y la decoración de los alimentos que se sirven sean adecuadas. Servir la comida en porciones y recipientes adecuados. Establecer, limpiar y dividir los puestos de trabajo. Lavar y desinfectar el área de la cocina, las mesas, los utensilios, los cuchillos y el equipo. Preparar los ingredientes para cocinar, incluido dividir los alimentos en porciones, picarlos y almacenarlos. Lavar y pelar las frutas y las verduras frescas. Preparar y cocinar los alimentos. Cumplir con todas las políticas y los procedimientos de seguridad y de la compañía; informar al gerente los accidentes, las lesiones y las condiciones laborales inseguras; y realizar capacitaciones y obtener certificaciones de seguridad.
