Weapons Technician

Amentum is actively seeking a Weapons Technician for International Fleet Support of MK 15 Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. **This is a full-time position and t**he work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt. **This position includes a competitive benefits package.
**Essential responsibilities and daily duties include**:
- Conduct hands-on training in the operation, maintenance and repair of all MK 15 CIWS Gun Systems.
- Participate as a member of the Amentum Technical Assistance Team (TAT) in close coordination with the TAT Manager.
- Collaborate with the Amentum In-Country Team, FMC Combat Systems Port Engineer, and the Egyptian Navy to provide timely and efficient technical support for MK 15 CIWS Gun Systems.
- Collaborate with the shipyard planning office and the designated electronics planner to facilitate FMC workload planning activities.
- Serve as a technical advisor/consultant for MK 15 CIWS Gun System planning and workload execution support efforts.
- Provide hands-on skills to support troubleshooting and repair of MK 15 CIWS Gun Systems by the Amentum TAT.
- Provide timely and comprehensive inputs for the Monthly Status Report.
**Minimum Requirements**
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience with operation, maintenance and repair of the MK 15 CIWS Gun System.
- Possess knowledge and operational experience with the CIWS Cooling System and associated support systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Egypt.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with operation, maintenance and repair of all variants of the MK 15 CIWS Gun Systems (Block 0 to Block 1B).
