**Qualifications**:

- Record of research in chemistry, and materials science supported by peer-reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated potential and commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated potential for developing and sustaining an externally funded research program involving students leading to publications.
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
- Postdoctoral research experience.
- Research focus in contemporary areas in materials science.
- Experience in engaging undergraduate and graduate students in research
