Electrical Design for Manufacturing Senior Engineer

## You’ll have ownership over:

- Design engineering position with a focus on the design of new harness & modification of original vehicle harnesses.
- Gather requirements, design and modify detailed harness schematics to integrate a variety of electromechanical components and control units.
- Define and optimise 3D routing and packaging for electromechanical vehicle systems.
- Document build/rework instructions for vehicle wire harnesses.
- Troubleshoot and quality check harnesses in the fabrication, assembly and bring up stages of mule builds.
- Support the bring up and debug process of prototype vehicles.
- Innovate, develop, and improve processes continuously.

You are:

- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems, harnesses, or vehicles.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in handling multiple priorities, organising workloads, and meeting tight delivery timelines.
- Solid electrical engineering fundamentals: DC/AC circuit analysis, signals & systems, analog + digital signal processing, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), LV / HV systems etc.
- Understand vehicle-level systems engineering including communications, functionality trade-offs, grounding and EMC strategies.
- Familiarity with harness design softwares & 3D CAD.
- Familiarity with, and working knowledge of, mechanical systems: thermal, heat dissipation, vibration, strength, durability, corrosion-prevention, materials, etc.
- Additional complementary skills - programming, mechanical design, fabrication, etc.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to balance tight deadlines with demanding engineering requirements. Additionally, they must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams.
- 4+ years of experience.
