**The opportunity**

**Project**: This is a mixed-use project in the heart of Egypt.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking senior cost consultant to join our established and growing team in Egypt.

Monitoring financial performance, financial analysis (including trend analysis) and preparing project performance reports and recommendations for the executive team.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Being a technical professional with cost management experience.
- Implementing good practices/principles of cost management including estimating, value for money, controlling of costs, baseline management, forecasting, performance measurement and change control.
- Identifying and analysing business risks.
- Managing resources, growing and developing the team.
- Supporting senior management in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business development or alliance development projects.
- Providing excellent attention to detail and ability to validate and check cost management inputs, recording and reports produced, providing basic commentary and analysis.
- Ensuring a general understanding of all aspects of cost management and promoting value for money.
- Having knowledge of current methodologies and tools related to managing costs.
- Supervising negotiations with third parties as a cost management specialist.
- Responding to client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.
- Ensuring excellent attention to detail and ability to validate and check data and reports, recording and reports produced, providing basic commentary and analysis.
- Having knowledge of construction projects' legal frameworks.
- Understanding of key project processes.
- Providing communication skills and client understanding.
- Coordinating multiple parties.
- Meeting deadlines, no exceptions - "completer finisher" attributes.
