Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people _either _frequently (e.g., once a week or more) or intensively (e.g., four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
**ROLE PURPOSE**:
The Project Officer is part of the project titled “Equal Opportunities and Social Development (EOSD)” funded by GIZ. The project works on two outcomes:
**(i) 10 CSOs (4 OPDs) **in the three targeted Governorates (Cairo, Alexandria and Assiut) in Egypt with an expected total average of about 100 CSOs staff that will be trained through the capacity building component.
**(ii) 600 youth,including those living with disability **(between the age of 16 and 25 years old) will be provided with tailored training sessions, including life-skills and awareness-raising sessions, after which a sub-set of **300 youth **will be selected to develop social change activities. SC aims to have a balanced gender representation for the youth component, this is consistent with trends among universities in the target areas.
The Project officer will be responsible for outcome two of the project on youth empowerment.
**Objective two**:
The initiative will equip 600 young people with the essential skills they need to thrive. Through a comprehensive life skills, civic engagement, and leadership training program, participants will develop the ability to navigate their environment, work well with others, and achieve their goals.
Following the program, SC will offer three specialized tracks, all focused on empowering youth to promote gender equality and social inclusion for people with disabilities. These tracks will be available to the 600 trained youth. Based on their interest, performance, and other relevant criteria, SC will then select 300 participants to further develop their skills and engage their communities in these critical themes through specialized trainings in the following tracks:
1) 'Art for Development,' utilizing street theatre, choir, physical exploration, and visual art. This track will equip youth with the skills to utilize artistic expression as a tool for advocating for gender equality and social inclusion within their communities.
2) 'Advocacy and Campaigning.': youth will be equipped on how to conceptualize, generate, and manage advocacy campaigns to promote gender equalities and disability inclusion within targeted universities. This intensive track leverages SCI SHIFT manuals to provide a comprehensive framework for social change advocacy.
3) 'Inclusive Youth-led Initiatives.' It involves a capacity-building package on digitalization and digital solutions. It incorporates the use of a Design Thinking approach in an 'Ideation Module' and it is intended to cultivate a generation of young leaders who champion inclusivity, particularly for persons with disabilities developing social and/or business digital solutions
The responsibilities include planning of the interventions, overseeing the development of the curriculum and training content, selecting and managing different consultants that will work on content development, and implementation. Overseeing the implementation in the 3 governorates. The Project Officer will ensure that program interventions, are strategic in terms of Save the Children International overall strategies and effective in meeting project goals and objectives. The officer will be responsible for ensuring the resources allocated to the outcome are engaged in a timely manner and that implementation moves forward according to plans.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

- Select and manage expert consultants to lead each track and develop content specific to the chosen methodologies (Art for Development, Advocacy & Campaigning, Inclusive Youth-led Initiatives).
**Implementation**:
- Deliver youth trainings and coaching sessions for youth in coordination with service providers and/or consultants. This includes coordination with PDQ team and other SC projects as needed.
