Remote Solution Implementation Specialist

The Remote Solution implementation is a new role that is designed to enhance accessibility to product and service solutions for our customers and thus improve the overall Medtronic customer experience remotely by a technology enabled, an innovative remote selling capability.
The incumbent is specifically supporting the sales execution in instrumentation in a few selected accounts.
Being a part of the overall Africa Virtual Engagement Solution team and working closely with the rest of the commercial team in Africa & Marketing Team as well as the Regulatory affairs, Market Access, customer service, Finance, Pricing, Supply, SAM, DCM, IHS and tender organization is required.

- Align and execute the VES Africa Strategy on remote sales (Internal/ External)
- Grow and penetrate new countries / new accounts to expand the business
- Launch new OUs in different countries as per the strategy plan
- Align with main distributors in remote sales strategy and execution
- Cross Functional Collaboration with the different functions and enablers
- Add clause in distributor contract regarding RS ( if applicable )
- Work with team on Country prioritization and Portfolio Optimization as needed
- Identify the growth opportunity and execute on them.
- Remote sales implementation along with the rep, generate leads, track and increase Ess sales in M, L and XL accounts. Essentials are mainly products that are not linked to our capital (NIM, shaver, drill, Nav) and mostly need mínimal technical support with some being sold as commodities.
- Market Analytics and Market Research around customers, competitors, and general market trends
- Identify Target Accounts, Opportunities & Customer Priorities, build solid Account Plan and identify & advance Key Stakeholders, Champions and Decision Makers in collaboration with the commercial teams
- Promote assigned product portfolio remotely using all available technology
- Lead price & contract negotiations
- Deliver on-going product servicing by delivering accurate product information and forecasting and active supply chain management
- Conduct regular Business Reviews with customers / distributors
- Communicates & aligns on a regular basis with field sales force and local Marketing Manager
- Closely collaborates with Customer Service, and Business managers
- Attends all relevant Sales Meetings & Product Trainings
- Develop Strong Relationships with Key players to Ensure repeating purchase orders and understanding customer buying decisions making process & patterns
- Assist in improving tender submission quality by preparing high quality supporting documents
- Support pricing strategy development, assist in tender submission, Maintain accurate tender data base
- Manages digital leads from marketing campaigns.
- Utilizes all available sales tools to maximize sales efficiency (SFDC) ) and completes all required administrative tasks (call reports and other KPI and metrics reports)
**Must Haves**
- Strong “remote” communication and selling skills with strong presentation / communication skills face to face and over the phone
- Strong commercial successful record
- Fluency in local language and English, French is a plus
- High commitment and dedication with strong planning, implementation and tracking skills
- Strong understanding capabilities, collaboration potential, innovation skills, and achievement drive deal closures.
- Consultative interaction skills with customers, prospective customers, and fellow employees such as TC, field reps and supply chain to ensure deal closure and deliveries.
- Have the skill and knowledge to sell SOAP (sell only available products) and thus can offer alternative products, and solutions.
- Understand the procedures and the portfolio value offering to ensure we sell the full range
- Strong negotiation skills & ability to track and close deals with customers as well as close follow up
- Strong analytical skills to understand purchase trends, to access potential (based on segmentations and procedure types and volumes) and to drive sales of selected products at new and current accounts.
- Willingness to adopt new technology and virtual tools to automate business
- Strong leadership Ability, to lead by influence not authority
- Ready to travel (max up to 20%) to countries of scope / selected accounts
**Nice to Haves
- 2+ years of remote sales experience in Medical Devices or High-Tech environment.
- B.A degree in a business relevant discipline.
- Field sales experience or customer service experience in the Medical Devices &/or pharma industry
- Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and time management
