**Key Responsibilities of the Chief Accountant**:

- **Financial Oversight**: Manage and oversee the financial operations, including budget preparation, auditing, and financial reporting.

- **Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.
- **Process Optimization**: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
- **Cross-Departmental Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments to streamline operations and support business growth initiatives.
- **Risk Management**: Assess financial risks and create action plans to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial stability.
- **Strategic Planning**: Contribute to strategic planning discussions by providing financial insights and analyses.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
- **Industry Experience**: At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in **budgeting, planning, and forecasting **a call center environment.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in using financial management tools.
- **English Proficiency**: Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills.
- **Customer Focus**: Ability to understand and align financial strategies with customer needs and organisational goals.
- **Time Management**: Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment.
- **Teamwork and Leadership**: Proven track record of effective team management and collaboration across departments.
