**Job Description Summary**:
As a VAT Specialist, you'll play an integral part within GE Healthcare VAT Compliance Team. Supporting GE Healthcare’s affiliates across numerous countries in EMEA region, this role provides legal, regulatory and tax compliance for multiple GE entities and focuses particularly on VAT analysis and preparation.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Preparation and analysis of VAT returns on a monthly /bi-monthly/ quarterly basis;
- Preparation of VAT related statistical filings, if required;
- Ensure to be compliant with country specific rules and obligations, meet the deadlines for all reports;
- Carry out VAT clearing postings;
- Perform detailed VAT to general ledger reconciliations and sales to VAT reconciliations;
- Follow up erroneous account receivable/ payable entries;
- Interact with Business stakeholders;
- Support internal/external VAT audits;
- Cooperate with other functions and provide support by answering VAT related queries.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance related field;
- Written and verbal fluency in English;
- Understanding of basic VAT obligations and regulations;
- Accounting knowledge;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Intermediate to advance excel knowledge;
- Good communication and influencing skills; easily adapt to changes.
**Desired Characteristics**
- Experience in a Global Business / Shared Service Center /Accounting Firm;
- Working experience on local and / or international VAT regulations;
- SAP or Oracle system knowledge;
- Being an enthusiastic team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment;
- Analytical mindset, pro-active attitude;
- Self-confident, a person who takes initiatives, persuasive to gather information.
