**Role Scope**:
**The job holder will be responsible for**:

- **structuring projects, planning programmes, implementing strategy**
- **Works with limited direction from senior management to recommend policies and procedures and manage day to day support activities**
- **Works with more senior team members on complex transactions**
- **Has authority to make certain business decisions but not in respect of strategic direction**
- **Is business minded and displays commercial sense - recognises potential client needs, identifies appropriate solutions and recommends accordingly**

**Principal Accountabilities**:
**Customers/Stakeholders**:

- **Proactively strengthens existing relationships and introduces new ones**
- **Evidence of cross selling and leveraging the matrix of Global Banking & Markets**
- **Possesses the confidence and desire to communicate views and will not be discouraged by negative feedback**
- **Is viewed by the Client as a credible resource who can represent and respond on behalf of their desk / Managing Director where appropriate**
- **Constantly promotes a ‘client-first’ attitude and high ethical standards when dealing with clients, without compromising the Bank’s position**

**Financial Contribution**:

- **Contributes to revenue generation and profitability for the division (for support areas, this includes driving operational efficiency and effectiveness)**
- **Demonstrates transaction expertise**
- **Is able to recognise business opportunities and immediately prioritise the response to the client when fast turnaround wins the business**

- **Mentors junior members of the team**
- **Effectively communicates to guide and motivate others**
- **Has network of contacts across asset classes and product areas**

**Requirements**:
**_Required Knowledge and Experience:_**
- **_Proven ability to gain substantial business for the Group across a full range of products._**:

- **_minimum of 10 years in a corporate relationship management role_**:

- **_Proven ability to lead and manage a team_**:

- **_Track record of building & developing long term relationships including key decision makers for all clients._**:

- **_Ability to develop a strategic dialogue with the client on a multi-dimensional basis._**:

- **_Excellent portfolio management skills_**:

- **_Excellent knowledge of HSBC Group and products, and a strong network of contacts across all business areas._**:
