As a **Direct Material Buyer, **you will be responsible for conducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers for body and chassis commodities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies and requirements. Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and managing supplier relationships will be crucial aspects of this role.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ability to work effectively cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships
- Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.)
- Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
- Proven competence in negotiating skills Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills

**Preferred critical skills**:

- Automotive industry experience
- Knowledge of procurement software
- Knowledge of materials management
- Capable of interpreting market data
- Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
