The Senior Geophysicist for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Geoscience team within our Egypt Asset at the company’s Cairo, Egypt office and assigned to the KPC joint venture development team. This position will report to the Director of Geophysics.

**This role will be primarily responsible for the following**:

- Identify development opportunities and mature into development well proposals by preparing structure maps of all reservoirs, integrating seismic data with well control
- Support geologic modeling for volumetric assessments and planning of field development by providing integrated geophysical interpretations
- Provide geophysical support for efficient drilling design and safe drilling operations
- Planning and executing development wells and providing post-drill lookbacks on every well
- Collaborate with Exploration team in hand-off of newly discovered fields
- Sharing all findings from development and reservoir characterization studies for future use in exploration

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven oil finder with 10+ years oil and gas appraisal and development experience; minimum a relevant M.S. degree
- Experience in Egypt Western Desert petroleum systems
- Experience with industry standard seismic interpretation software packages (Petrel experience a plus)
- Strong seismic interpreter with focus on field development. Strong data integration, mapping, and workstation skills
- Accurate structural interpretation and depth conversion essential; seismic stratigraphy skills a plus
- Understanding of quantitative geophysical products and methods for lithology prediction and structural interpretation
- Experience with volumetric calculations and risk assessments
- Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information
