Chief Accountant

**Jadeer** is hiring on behalf of one of our global clients in Egypt. Our client is one of the leading companies in the industrial sector.

**Job Purpose**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and auditing.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to ensure financial health and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and analyse accounting data to produce financial reports and statements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare budget forecasts, track financial performance against the budget, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed, and reported in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess changes for necessary improvement in financial controls.
- Develop and enhance internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and promote efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and make recommendations to support business decision-making and improve profitability.
- Oversee tax filings, manage tax liabilities, and ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff, ensuring continuous professional development.

**Chief Accountant Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role within the industrial sector.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Experience with financial reporting, budget preparation, and management accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and promoting integrity in financial practices.

**Working Conditions for a Chief Accountant**:

- Working Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM (Sunday to Thursday).
- Working Model: On-site.
- Job Location: Belbis, Sharqia, Egypt.
