**Job Summary**

The Agronomy Specialist will be responsible for testing and evaluating new crop hybrid seeds (corn, rice, sorghum etc.) in two governorates, as well as compering commercial Pioneer hybrids with competitors. In addition to that he will be responsible for conducting agronomical trials (population, fertilization, planting dates, etc..) that helps in giving helpful management suggestions to our customers to assist them in making the greatest possible profit from our products.

Conduct demonstration plots for the crop protection products and present it to the farmers.

The agronomy officer will also select the locations, conduct the trials, follow up with the farmers throughout the season, collect the data, harvest the trials and prepare the field for field days and promotional events as well as entering the data to the system and present the results to the sales team.

**Responsibilities**

**Land selection and Planting**
- Selection of lands for conducting the trials
- Convince the farmer for conducting trials on his field
- Land preparation for the trial
- Advise grower in soil fertility, planting and harvest the seed crop.
- Plane the trial and draw field map
- Supervise the planting process
- Implement and maintain safety and quality standards.

**Trials follow up and data collection**
- Follow up the trials throughout the season and suggest practices if needed
- Data collection regrading hybrids flowering dates, plant height, ear characteristics etc.

**Conduct demonstration field for crop protection products**
- Select representative fields that contains infestations.
- Follow up the trials and measure the efficacy of the product.

**Harvesting the trial and conducting field days**
- Harvest trials
- Prepare the field for field days
- Cooperate with the sales team in inviting farmers and dealers for the filed
- Demonstrate key features and benefits of Pioneer products over competitors

**Data entry to the system and presenting results**
- Data entry of the trials results to the system
- Presenting trials results to the sales team

**Qualifications**:** Skills**
- Education: B.S. in ag-related area or equivalent experience
- Experience: 7-12 years' experience working with seed growers
- Technical background in seed & crop production is plus.
- Operate personal computers in the Microsoft Windows environment with Microsoft Office software (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability for leadership and ability to motivate, supervise and work well with others
- Analytical skills, data management, data analysis, and statistical techniques
- Ability to work 70% of time in field/plant environment, have limited exposure to chemicals, dust, noise, and temperature
- Ability to walk fields, climb, work long hours during peak seasons
- Willing to work weekend and holidays as required to meet business needs
- Currently having a valid driver's license
