Reinsurance Analyst

Monitor and Optimize all reinsurance related topics both internally and externally to be able to maximize the value of the products and thus our profitability
- Manage the relationship with Reinsurers and Reinsurance Brokers
- Manage the settlement of Facultative Reinsurance for Life LOB
- Prepare reinsurers’ account settlements
- Calculate monthly reinsurance premiums, commissions, and claims.
- Develop financial analysis reports in order to review markets based on internal risk guidance to support active reinsurance placements for both Treaty and Facultative contracts.
- Work with stakeholders to identify, create, and monitor various reports and key business metrics.
- Analyze data for stakeholders and present analysis in a format appropriate for strategic discussion.
- Prepare financial settlement with clients according to policy terms and agreements and timely management of overall cash flow.
- Evaluate annual profit commissions.
- Lead the analysis and reconciliation of reinsurance to support financial statement preparation.
- Prepare, review, and approve payments; to ensure accurate accounting; and reporting on ceded reinsurance activity.
- Manage the daily activity with regards to collateral decreases and withdrawals, ensuring our clients receive the proper communication regarding the activity around their Letters of Credit, Trusts accounts and Funds withheld as well as the Multi beneficiary trusts.
- Gather ceded reinsurance exposure data and communicating it to the reinsurers and brokers for yearly collateral increases and decrease.
- Develop reports and reconciliations to streamline the collateral process and report accurate and timely information to both internal and external customers.
- Assist in the daily activities of Technical Accounting (cash processing, invoicing, collections and reporting) to upper management and other internal customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all tasks required.
- Perform credit control functions of Reinsurance Receivable/Payable and related account reconciliations assigned.
- Work collaboratively with other functional areas in establishing reinsurance processes, booking flows and accuracy completeness controls.
- Document controls around processes and continually reviewing and updating the Reinsurance control framework.
- Support senior management by providing financial information as required.
- Perform all other duties assigned by manager.

**Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or Bachelor of Finance
- 0-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of reinsurance principles, practices and procedures, products, and services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to negotiate and influence business partners.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
