Treasury Accountant

**Job Summary**:
The Treasury Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial resources of the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate cash records, managing cash flow, executing financial transactions, and monitoring financial risks. The Treasury Accountant also collaborates with various departments to ensure financial compliance and optimal use of resources.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cash Management**:
Monitor daily cash balances and forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity.
Execute funds transfers and wire transactions as needed.
Manage bank accounts and maintain relationships with financial institutions.

**Cash Flow Management**:
Develop and maintain cash flow models to predict future cash needs.
Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize idle cash.
Prepare cash flow reports for management review.

**Financial Risk Management**:
Identify and assess financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and credit risks.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and hedging programs.
Monitor and report on risk exposure and compliance with risk management policies.

**Treasury Operations**:
Administer investment activities and manage investment portfolios.
Ensure compliance with debt covenants and debt service requirements.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.

**Financial Reporting**:
Prepare and present treasury-related reports to management and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to treasury activities.

**Compliance and Regulations**:
Stay current with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to treasury operations.

**Collaboration**:
Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting, finance, and risk management, to support overall financial goals.
Work closely with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or certification such as CTP may be preferred).
- Proven experience in treasury management or related financial roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and risk management strategies.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including treasury management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modelling software.
- Experience with international treasury operations.
- Knowledge of tax implications related to treasury activities.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tanta: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
